Carving pumpkins

I recruited some friends to come help carve pumpkins into "Jack o lanterns" as Kobe corrected me! We had a great time and a great mess to clean up! I think that we ended up with a dragon, bat, nemo and a kitty cat! I will get some pics of the pumpkins tonight when I light them, my batteries ran out before I could!

Zoo Time

The kids had Friday off of school so Angie and I packed up the kids and lunch and headed off to the zoo! It was a great time hanging out with friends and enjoying the wonderful weather that we have been having! I love fall here!

What a cute group of kids!

Showing their true colors!

Chloe was amazed the elephants!

Coop was just chill'n in the stroller. He wasn't too amazed by the elephants as the rest of us!

Kobe wanted to take a picture of the elephants behind! Silly kids!

I am so proud!

The other day I got a note home from Kobe's teacher explaining that the first grade will be having a fall harvest play. Then I got a note home the day after that and this is what it says:

Dear Mrs Felde,
Kobe was given a speaking part in the play we will do at PTA. This is an honor and Kobe was chosen because of his good speaking and reading abilities. Only four first graders were chosen.
Please practice with Kobe so that he can memorize his parts. He needs to speak with expression and feeling, this is a skill that he practices in class quite frequently. We will practice in class when we can, but we need your help at home! Thank you, Mrs. Vrana

Isn't that so exciting! I will post pictures very soon, he has to dress up as a cowboy! For friends or family that would like to come it is on November 6, 2007 at 6:30 and it will be held in the cafeteria of his school (Kate Schenk)

And who said being dramatic wasn't a good thing!

When mommy doesn't pay attention...

This is what happens! Oops!

(Cooper took the top picture, he is pretty good!)

I am ready to go!

Every school morning we have the same routine, I wake up the boys, while they are getting dressed I get Chloe up and dressed then I throw myself together so after the bus picks up the boys I can go walk. Well the other morning the boys got there backpacks on while I was getting shoes on and Chloe came running out of the room with the Dora backpack and was very insistent that I put it on her! The rest of the day she walked around with the backpack on! I thought it was just so super cute that I had to take a picture!

Spooky spider

When I had the Halloween party for the kids I made this little spiders and hung them up all over and I wanted to show you all because the boys think that they are sooo awesome! It is things like this that makes me feel like I am getting it right when I can please them with something so simple!

What to do when I am board....

Since I have been super busy lately and not feeling well on top of it I got behind on laundry so the other night I sat down and folded it all, and when I say all I think that it was like 40 loads or something! Maybe some day I will have a maid, but until then I can never complain that I am board, there will always be laundry waiting for me...unfortunately!

What I have been up to

Cake decorating! Thats what I have really now started getting into and find it a lot of fun to do, I am still new to it but here are some of my creations I have made over the past couple of years!

Happy Halloween! It is party time!

Yesterday the boys had a Halloween Party and it was so much fun! We had a lot of fun bobbing for apples, having a donut eating contest, decorating trick or treat bags and just being with friends! I made this spider cake for it and I thought that it turned out pretty cute, not to brag or anything!

Its wakey wakey time Carter!

Last weekend the kids played and played then on Saturday evening it caught up with Carter! He just basically gave up and fell asleep on his Elmo chair while playing!

She loves her daddy

The other day Jeff came home from work for lunch and the second he walked through the door Chloe was in his arms giving him loves. I am caught the moment too bad my camera sucks uh?

I am in love...

I cannot express the love as a mother I have for my children. I know that there are many mothers who may agree to with me that nothing else is more important to us than our children and their well being. I am amazed that Heavenly Father has given me these four wonderful blessings, but it also frightens me more than you can imagine. Last night I had a very long conversation with my friend about motherhood, and she summed it up by saying when I had my child I fell in love with god and my husband all over again. I don't think that I could of said it better. I know that at times I am stressed and pushed to my limits with them but then I take a step back and look at what I have been given and like my friend said I fall in love all over again. At times I have to remind myself what I have been given and not dwell on what I don't have. I look around and I see a little home that has grown in the past six years, not all the closets running out of room to hold a growing family stuff. I see art work on my walls not the scribbles of a naughty five year old. My floor shows the marks of three little boys and their puppy having a fun Saturday in the dirt out in the backyard. And then that is when I fall in love. It doesn't happen everyday or all day long, I catch myself getting mad that I have just mopped, or I just bathed the dog. I swear no matter how I organize that closets nothing is going to fit and I will never have a house that will fit all of us. But I wanted to share with whomever reads this my feelings and my blessings that I have been given.

I know that he is my son....

I have been wondering the past six years if Kobe was really my child, I know without a doubt he is Jeff's...until the other day. Kobe went to spend the weekend with some friends and my friend Ty was doing a check with Kobe about what he had in his bag so they went down the list and this is how it happened
Ty: Kobe how many pairs of pj's do you have?
Kobe: 2 Ty
Ty: Kobe, do you have your toothbrush?
Kobe: Yup
Ty: do you have your swimsuit?
Kobe: sure do
Ty: How many pairs of underwear did you pack?
Kobe: One
Ty: Kob, dude you will be gone for two days and the pair you are wearing doesn't count.
Kobe: Well, Ty I guess I will have to wear dirty underwear then.

Let me explain it is not the fact that I wear dirty underwear that made him mine, it is the answer that he gave! Am I right mom or what!
