Chloe and La La

For the past year I have taken care of a little girl named Tyla that is six months younger than Chloe. Chloe and I have enjoyed the time with her and have became attached to her. Chloe calls her La la so now the whole family calls her that. They are very cute together and play very well with one another.

How much is this picture worth?

So you tell me, how much is this picture worth? I will tell you what I think. Just as we were heading into Price Canyon on the way home I rolled down the window to take this picture for our friend back here in Texas, and I thought to myself ohh it is very cold I better get this window rolled up. I click the little button and slowly the window started to roll up, I mean if someone had a hand crank window they would beat this electric window hands down thats how slow it was moving. I looked over at Jeff and he said "Crap hurry it up [the window] it is going to get stuck. I am thinking oh yeah like I can just push the button harder and it will roll up faster, or maybe I should ask it please to hurry, because you know that always works for me when I ask the kids, ha ha. Then it happens, the window comes to a dead stop, I mean nothing is going to work on this window to get it up, so I start to panic thinking great I have to ride 1500 more miles with the window rolled down and right now the temperature outside is -3 degrees. Chloe is getting an Arctic blast in her face and the other kids are already complaining that they are cold and they can't hear the movie. I smile and say it is going to be okay daddy will fix it as soon as we can pull over ( I am thinking buck up little campers when I was growing up I didn't get movies and warm air and many other choice words that I really shouldn't be thinking) Jeff pulled over and tried to get the window up, no such luck. We sat there thinking what do we do..? Jeff came up with the plan to wrap a blanket around it and shut it in the door and I had to hold on to it so that it would get sucked out the window. Finally, 50 miles later we made it to Price where we drove to the first repair shop that was open at 8:00 am on the day after Christmas. Jeff went in to see of someone could help and luckily they could pull the window up ( I guess that it is broken by now) after twenty minutes of playing around with it the window came up. To add to the adventure we had to stop about every two hundred miles to pull up the window so that it would stop whistle noise, because heaven forbid the kids couldn't hear the movie!

On the Road

Merry Christmas eve

Christmas came so fast this year! I had so much fun in Idaho I really did not want to leave, oh well! We will be moving back soon enough! The day couldn't of been better, we started off at my sisters house with a day filled with yummy food, great company and lots and lots of snow! The kids bundled up(I can't put my arms down is what Carter was thinking, I know it!) and went outside to play, I thought for sure that they would all be inside in just a few minutes but they stuck it out and had a great time! After we ate and goofed off we took off and went to Jeff's dad house where there was more yummy food and great people to visit with. The kids got to spend time with family that has not seen them in almost six years so it was very nice. Later that night we went back to the Burgie's where the kids opened pj's with the cousins and Sonny read to them the birth of Christ. I don't think that we could of asked for a better day all together. Christmas morning we said our goodbyes to family and headed to Spanish Fork, Utah so that I could see my Grandma Johnson and enjoy yet again another yummy meal!

Out to Dinner with the Felde Family

I think that this is the first time that we all have been out to dinner as a family! We had a great time, it was what the family needed!

The official date

SO you have all been asking me when we will be departing San Antonio and I answer with a
" hopefully very soon.." Well, it here... our official departing date from the Air Force with be January 31st! Jeff and I cannot wait to make it back to Idaho to be with family and friends that we have missed so bad. The kids can't wait either, all they keep talking about is seeing family. I will be sad to leave here, don't get me wrong I have enjoyed living here, it is just not where I feel that I can raise a family. We have made so many good friends and we will miss them very much, hopefully they will come and visit us in God's Country! This picture was taken at Jeff's unit Christmas party. The party was okay (we have been to better ones, dang Harvey for moving) but we were able to see friends that we haven't for a while and that was great, out last official unit function will be Msgt Smiths retirement. He teases me that he has to retire if Jeff is not going to stick around. Msgt Smith asks Jeff every time he goes into his office if he is here to reenlist! Like I have said we were meant to be here, we will miss so many of you and (some not so much!) So if anyone that reads this in San Antonio or Idaho Falls, I am asking if you would like to help pack and unpack a truck? I know, it is not fun to help someone move! We love you all and can't wait to see you all in IF and we will miss you in SA!

Oh those boys!

Last Sunday Jeff took our friends, family pictures and so Kobe, Joe and Cooper were so very willing to pose and model while Jeff got the lighting and poses worked out! What a bunch of cheese balls!

Here is a sneak peek of what the boys will be wearing in our family photos!
We took this after we got home from taking family photos. Chloe was so horrible during the photo shoot that we got one, yes one photo of the family with her in it. we did however get a great one of Jeff and the boys, Jeff and me and Chloe and I. She did fine if someone would hold her so my hopes of getting all four of them together in clean clothes, with clean faces. oh well.
When we pulled out of the parking lot Cooper said to Jeff, "hey so where is my root beer float for being so good while we took pictures?" So Jeff asked me if I had promised a treat to them and I said "no, did you?" He told me no, but then agreed with the boys that they did really great so sure why not?
Those boys are getting good at getting something they want!

Chloe's busy day!

I had this past week off from babysitting so during the day it was just Chloe and me, I had such a great time hanging out with her. She is at such a wondering (naughty) stage that she keeps me on my toes all day!
