Freezing in Idaho

So I knew that it would turn cold here eventually but I forgot how much I hate the cold. Now mind you it is not even the coldest that is going to be here I am thinking my fingers are going to freeze off will I am typing. So all you Texans go ahead and say I told you so now because this will not be the last time that you will read my complaints about the cold! So I have some fun news to share.... Jeff got a new job, I wish that I could explain what he will be doing but I am not really sure all I know that it has to do with computers. Yeah! Another really fun thing is that I finally have a start date on my job so now I can really start the panic of how am I going to balance it all! The kids are doing great, really I say that all the time but really the boys love school and Carter loves being home with me now I will say Chloe is having a good day today, at least so far she hasn't colored on anything, flooded my kitchen or made any huge messes but the day is young. Deep breaths seem to help...for right now!

I will miss you Granny J

For those of you who knew my grandma knew what a wonderful woman she was. She had this laugh that made all of us laugh, a smile that made you feel like you were the most important person in the world and a hug that made you feel that no matter what just happened it would be okay. About a month ago my uncle and aunt called to tell my sister and I that Grandma didn't have much longer to live so we packed up and headed to Utah to see her. I will cherish the fact that I was able to see her one more time and to hug her and tell her that I love her. On Friday morning I got a call that she wasn't going to make it and she wanted to talk to all of her grandchildren one last time. So I called her and I couldn't speak and I didn't want to her to hear me crying so I just listened and she told me that she loved me and that she would watch over me and my children ( she even named them one by one) and told me goodbye. Our Heavenly Father gave her an hour of peace to be able to be our granny J and make each and every single one of us special in our own mind and heart. My mom is so sad right now because she is was not there and all I want to do is find a way to make her hurt to stop and show her that we all love her and we support her and my dad and it is okay because one day thanks to the plan of salvation she will be with my grandma again, and they will be laughing and arguing together just like the old times. I am sorry that the world had to loose you Grandma and not everyone will get to love you as rest of us did but I am so happy that you are free of pain and that you and Grandpa are together, and everyone in Heaven is enjoying your love.

September 2008

I know that lately I haven't been able to update as much as I would like to, and hopefully soon I will be able to get Internet to do it, if not I will start making the drive to my father in laws house to update maybe with some pictures too! This past month has been pretty busy, the boys started school so it is just Carter and Chloe at home with me for right now. I will be started work in the next week. I accepted a job at Bio Life it is a plasma donation center. I am not poking people yet, but I can't wait to learn! I will be checking our donors in, taking a blood sample, weighing them, take there blood pressure, heart rate and breath test. I am excited to be in the adult world but I also feel so guilty leaving my two babies.....hopefully I can figure it all out! Jeff is still in limbo waiting to hear from a couple places about a job with them. The kids are still enjoying being here and love there new school, they have made lots of friends and there were amazed that they go to church and school with them. Kobe is in second grade, I know yikes! Cooper is in first! J. Carter just missed the deadline for kindergarten so we are doing home school pre school! I really enjoy that time that we get to sit and work on work books and read together and I love watching him and Chloe color together, Carter gets so mad at her when she just scribble scrabbles! Chloe just stays at home and yes still is naughty! I have to laugh because I read past post and I read that I just say she is naughty and I am sure that you think that I am making things up but until you spend a day or two with her and experience the wrath of Chloe you will understand and now instead of telling everyone to shut up it now is suck it....oh proud of a mother I am.

I snuck over to my mother in laws to use her computer to give an update since it has been a while! ( Don't worry she knows I am here!) WE don't have Internet yet so I really don't get to update as much as I use to, check the Burgies blog my sister has been awesome to update with pictures of my kids! Speaking of kids, they are doing great! They love the new house, and are excited to start school to meet some new friends! They really miss Texas but, I have explained it has changed so much and so many people have moved away, so hopefully the loneliness will wear off soon.
Jeff is still awaiting to find out when he starts Police Academy, hopefully soon. I am doing good and enjoying the nice summer with the kids. I will try to update a lot sooner with pictures but till then just check my sisters she will keep you updated!

Yeah we found a house and we are moving in on Thursday! I will get pictures up as soon as I can of it because I love it and I can't wait to show everyone! Jeff is still working for the Chevrolet dealership and is doing good, I love the phone calls that say I just sold a car (or Truck) ! The kids have one more week of school and then it is summer time! Good thing we have a big fenced backyard! I started up my bow business and it took off with a bang! We will have a web site up soon so you will have to check it out! Well, the dryer just buzzed and I have to take a load of stuff to our house!

So Kobe has taken on the sport of wrestling..... I have mixed emotion about the whole idea of my baby being "beat up" by another little boy but Jeff thinks it is a good idea and Kobe enjoys it so far. He won third place in his second tournament that he was in. We are off to Pocatello for another tournament this weekend!

Maybe spring is here????

Yesterday we had a sort of nice day here in the great land of Idaho! Don't get me wrong I love the fact that we live back here, it is just that I miss the beautiful spring in Texas! I know that we would have the pool out on the driveway already and I would be working in the yard. I am trying to convince my mother in law to let me plant a garden at her house but she knows that I am moving soon so she doesn't want to take the responsibility of a garden on, dang! Maybe we will be in our house soon so that I can plant a garden in my own yard! I will just need my brothers help, both of my brothers have inherited the "Long" green thumb and have been able to grow anything like my great grandpa Long. Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside. My father in law has enjoyed having his grandkids around, the house got really quite yesterday while I was folding laundry so I got worried and went looking for the three boys. I looked out the window and saw them with Grandpa outside swinging, jumping on the tramp and feeding the horses, so after Chloe's nap we went outside with them to enjoy the rest of the afternoon!

Happy Easter 2008

Oops, I know that I am a little late to get this posted, things just have been crazy around here! I hope that you all had a great Easter Sunday. Ours was very nice and relaxing! We went to the Menan Easter egg hunt with Stacy, Sonny and Kids and Shay and Heather and kids, it was really nice and COLD! The kids got tons and tons of candy! On Sunday we went to my sister Stacy's house and went to church with them and enjoyed a very yummy dinner! It has been so nice to be back around family.

HOw cute can she be?

I rolled her hair in curlers for church! Doesn't she look so freak'n cute!
This is one of her favorite things to do is wear Jeff's hat after he got home from work!

I love that Chloe's little personality is developing! She still is super naughty but at the same time she is just so stinking cute!

This is what happens when I take a nap!

It is never good when you hear "go show mommy what you did!" And that is how I was awoken from my nap one fine Sunday afternoon!

This little "angel" got into my make up and not only did she get it all over herself, she gave the inside of the toilet a make over! Jeff thought it was very funny, me not so much.

We made it!

As I sit here to type I get so emotional and I don't know where to begin! The past five and half years of our lives together have just flown by, I remember the first day I pulled up to our house in Texas, I thought to myself that I will never make it here. After I gave up that thought and stopped fighting the fact that I was there to stay I really started to enjoy it and I had a real hard time to leave all the people behind that had became my family. I have already got phone calls from some of you and I really appericate that you are still thinking about us, I can tell you I haven't stopped thinking of you guys! Things have been crazy since we pulled into Idaho! The drive was okay, I had the stomach flu, not fun! The kids did great, the boys loved it when they got to drive in the "big truck " with grandpa. Chloe did okay in the car, thank heavens for portable dvd players! Our window broke again, so we had to redneck it and duct tape it ( I thought afterall we are going to live in Idaho, we will fit in!) Jeff has hit the ground running looking for a job, please keep saying your prayers for him! Kobe and Cooper started school on tuesday and they are loving it! Kobe informed us that he has already found a girlfriend! Cooper only goes half days so he catches the bus with Kobe at 8:00 am and is dropped back off to us at 11:30 the one nice thing is that the bus comes right to the house so we just have to stand at the end of the driveway, it is just still real cold in the morning ( this morning it was -1) The kids love the snow, we went and got them some boots and it just brought back childhood memories having to wear big ol boots to school so when go outside to play your feet won't get cold! There is not a preschool program here for Carter so he is home with me, lets just say once I kick this cold I caught we will be going to the Teacher Development store to find things to keep him busy! So all in all we are doing great and getting settled in. After Jeff gets a job we are going to make the next big step and buy a house! I can't wait! I will keep you posted and get pictures up soon!

Who slapped you..?

Carter recently had 5ths disease -notice the pink cheeks!

(Fifth disease is a very common childhood illness. Adults can get it too. It is sometimes called "slapped cheek disease" because of the rash that some people get on the face. You spread the disease by coughing and sneezing.

As a rule, people can spread fifth disease only while they have flu-like symptoms and before they get a rash.)

So anyways when Jeff took Carter to the doctor she called it slapped cheek, and I am guessing that Carter understood it as if someone had slapped him because when he got home he asked me after Jeff had gone back to work who had slapped him on the cheeks? Ohhh, I laughed pretty good at that one!

Chloe's Hair

When we had Chloe I kept bragging that she will have tons of hair and it will be thick just like the boys...yeah I spoke too soon! Chloe has very thin and fine hair and it just started to grow long enough to do stuff with. Everyday Jeff makes fun of me for trying new things out on her hair.

Good Deal

Last night my friend stopped by to see me and before she left she told me that Target had marked there clearance to 75% off! I thought well, it never hurts to go look right? Luckily I only found a few things for her but I held back and only bought one. These overall's are the cutest thing and Chloe looks so freak'n cute in them and you can't beat $3.75. If she would of been wearing nine months I would of spent a whole lot more! Thanks for the tip Danielle!
