We made it!

As I sit here to type I get so emotional and I don't know where to begin! The past five and half years of our lives together have just flown by, I remember the first day I pulled up to our house in Texas, I thought to myself that I will never make it here. After I gave up that thought and stopped fighting the fact that I was there to stay I really started to enjoy it and I had a real hard time to leave all the people behind that had became my family. I have already got phone calls from some of you and I really appericate that you are still thinking about us, I can tell you I haven't stopped thinking of you guys! Things have been crazy since we pulled into Idaho! The drive was okay, I had the stomach flu, not fun! The kids did great, the boys loved it when they got to drive in the "big truck " with grandpa. Chloe did okay in the car, thank heavens for portable dvd players! Our window broke again, so we had to redneck it and duct tape it ( I thought afterall we are going to live in Idaho, we will fit in!) Jeff has hit the ground running looking for a job, please keep saying your prayers for him! Kobe and Cooper started school on tuesday and they are loving it! Kobe informed us that he has already found a girlfriend! Cooper only goes half days so he catches the bus with Kobe at 8:00 am and is dropped back off to us at 11:30 the one nice thing is that the bus comes right to the house so we just have to stand at the end of the driveway, it is just still real cold in the morning ( this morning it was -1) The kids love the snow, we went and got them some boots and it just brought back childhood memories having to wear big ol boots to school so when go outside to play your feet won't get cold! There is not a preschool program here for Carter so he is home with me, lets just say once I kick this cold I caught we will be going to the Teacher Development store to find things to keep him busy! So all in all we are doing great and getting settled in. After Jeff gets a job we are going to make the next big step and buy a house! I can't wait! I will keep you posted and get pictures up soon!

Who slapped you..?

Carter recently had 5ths disease -notice the pink cheeks!

(Fifth disease is a very common childhood illness. Adults can get it too. It is sometimes called "slapped cheek disease" because of the rash that some people get on the face. You spread the disease by coughing and sneezing.

As a rule, people can spread fifth disease only while they have flu-like symptoms and before they get a rash.)

So anyways when Jeff took Carter to the doctor she called it slapped cheek, and I am guessing that Carter understood it as if someone had slapped him because when he got home he asked me after Jeff had gone back to work who had slapped him on the cheeks? Ohhh, I laughed pretty good at that one!

Chloe's Hair

When we had Chloe I kept bragging that she will have tons of hair and it will be thick just like the boys...yeah I spoke too soon! Chloe has very thin and fine hair and it just started to grow long enough to do stuff with. Everyday Jeff makes fun of me for trying new things out on her hair.

Good Deal

Last night my friend stopped by to see me and before she left she told me that Target had marked there clearance to 75% off! I thought well, it never hurts to go look right? Luckily I only found a few things for her but I held back and only bought one. These overall's are the cutest thing and Chloe looks so freak'n cute in them and you can't beat $3.75. If she would of been wearing nine months I would of spent a whole lot more! Thanks for the tip Danielle!

Chloe and La La

For the past year I have taken care of a little girl named Tyla that is six months younger than Chloe. Chloe and I have enjoyed the time with her and have became attached to her. Chloe calls her La la so now the whole family calls her that. They are very cute together and play very well with one another.

Goofing off!

What a group of good look'n kids!

How much is this picture worth?

So you tell me, how much is this picture worth? I will tell you what I think. Just as we were heading into Price Canyon on the way home I rolled down the window to take this picture for our friend back here in Texas, and I thought to myself ohh it is very cold I better get this window rolled up. I click the little button and slowly the window started to roll up, I mean if someone had a hand crank window they would beat this electric window hands down thats how slow it was moving. I looked over at Jeff and he said "Crap hurry it up [the window] it is going to get stuck. I am thinking oh yeah like I can just push the button harder and it will roll up faster, or maybe I should ask it please to hurry, because you know that always works for me when I ask the kids, ha ha. Then it happens, the window comes to a dead stop, I mean nothing is going to work on this window to get it up, so I start to panic thinking great I have to ride 1500 more miles with the window rolled down and right now the temperature outside is -3 degrees. Chloe is getting an Arctic blast in her face and the other kids are already complaining that they are cold and they can't hear the movie. I smile and say it is going to be okay daddy will fix it as soon as we can pull over ( I am thinking buck up little campers when I was growing up I didn't get movies and warm air and many other choice words that I really shouldn't be thinking) Jeff pulled over and tried to get the window up, no such luck. We sat there thinking what do we do..? Jeff came up with the plan to wrap a blanket around it and shut it in the door and I had to hold on to it so that it would get sucked out the window. Finally, 50 miles later we made it to Price where we drove to the first repair shop that was open at 8:00 am on the day after Christmas. Jeff went in to see of someone could help and luckily they could pull the window up ( I guess that it is broken by now) after twenty minutes of playing around with it the window came up. To add to the adventure we had to stop about every two hundred miles to pull up the window so that it would stop whistle noise, because heaven forbid the kids couldn't hear the movie!

On the Road

Merry Christmas eve

Christmas came so fast this year! I had so much fun in Idaho I really did not want to leave, oh well! We will be moving back soon enough! The day couldn't of been better, we started off at my sisters house with a day filled with yummy food, great company and lots and lots of snow! The kids bundled up(I can't put my arms down is what Carter was thinking, I know it!) and went outside to play, I thought for sure that they would all be inside in just a few minutes but they stuck it out and had a great time! After we ate and goofed off we took off and went to Jeff's dad house where there was more yummy food and great people to visit with. The kids got to spend time with family that has not seen them in almost six years so it was very nice. Later that night we went back to the Burgie's where the kids opened pj's with the cousins and Sonny read to them the birth of Christ. I don't think that we could of asked for a better day all together. Christmas morning we said our goodbyes to family and headed to Spanish Fork, Utah so that I could see my Grandma Johnson and enjoy yet again another yummy meal!

Out to Dinner with the Felde Family

I think that this is the first time that we all have been out to dinner as a family! We had a great time, it was what the family needed!

The official date

SO you have all been asking me when we will be departing San Antonio and I answer with a
" hopefully very soon.." Well, it here... our official departing date from the Air Force with be January 31st! Jeff and I cannot wait to make it back to Idaho to be with family and friends that we have missed so bad. The kids can't wait either, all they keep talking about is seeing family. I will be sad to leave here, don't get me wrong I have enjoyed living here, it is just not where I feel that I can raise a family. We have made so many good friends and we will miss them very much, hopefully they will come and visit us in God's Country! This picture was taken at Jeff's unit Christmas party. The party was okay (we have been to better ones, dang Harvey for moving) but we were able to see friends that we haven't for a while and that was great, out last official unit function will be Msgt Smiths retirement. He teases me that he has to retire if Jeff is not going to stick around. Msgt Smith asks Jeff every time he goes into his office if he is here to reenlist! Like I have said we were meant to be here, we will miss so many of you and (some not so much!) So if anyone that reads this in San Antonio or Idaho Falls, I am asking if you would like to help pack and unpack a truck? I know, it is not fun to help someone move! We love you all and can't wait to see you all in IF and we will miss you in SA!

Oh those boys!

Last Sunday Jeff took our friends, family pictures and so Kobe, Joe and Cooper were so very willing to pose and model while Jeff got the lighting and poses worked out! What a bunch of cheese balls!

Here is a sneak peek of what the boys will be wearing in our family photos!
We took this after we got home from taking family photos. Chloe was so horrible during the photo shoot that we got one, yes one photo of the family with her in it. we did however get a great one of Jeff and the boys, Jeff and me and Chloe and I. She did fine if someone would hold her so my hopes of getting all four of them together in clean clothes, with clean faces. oh well.
When we pulled out of the parking lot Cooper said to Jeff, "hey so where is my root beer float for being so good while we took pictures?" So Jeff asked me if I had promised a treat to them and I said "no, did you?" He told me no, but then agreed with the boys that they did really great so sure why not?
Those boys are getting good at getting something they want!

Chloe's busy day!

I had this past week off from babysitting so during the day it was just Chloe and me, I had such a great time hanging out with her. She is at such a wondering (naughty) stage that she keeps me on my toes all day!

We are so RAD!

Oh, how this picture made me laugh! This is of me ( yes I really had hair like that..) and that is my oldest brother Scott, teaching me how to play the piano, unfortunately I did not get any of his musical talent, I am still figuring out why I got skipped when the talents where handed out to the Bringhurst Family..? Cool thing is that like every Sunday my sisters and I always had on matching dresses, my mom is a very very talented seamstress and she was always making us dresses and clothes. I can't wait for her to get back to make Chloe some (more updated than in the picture) dresses.

Thankfulness, it is in my heart and on my mind.

So for Thanksgiving break my kids had a whole week off of school, yes I said a whole week! I wasn't too sure what I was going to do with them. I knew one thing though they weren't going to spend the time in front of the TV or on the Computer. So that left it up to me to figure out what to do with them? Kobe asked if he could learn how to bake something, and since I LOVE, LOVE to bake I thought it was a great idea so we pulled out the good 'ole cook book and made cookies, apple crisp and peach crisp! It was a lot of fun sharing something with the boys what I really enjoy, and to be able to teach them something is always fun! Kobe did such a great job, he would read the recipe then he would pull out the ingredient's, I would help measure but he pretty much made the apple crisp on his own! Carter just wanted to crack the eggs! And of course Cooper did not want to do any of it so I gave in and let him on the computer!
I really enjoyed the week the boys, I feel like since school has started we really don't get to spend time just goofing off together since we are so busy with school work and homework and everything else in between! I had been wanting to sit down and write a list of things that I was Thankful for but now I look back on this past week and I really didn't have to make a list to remind me, it had always been right there in front of me. I do want to share a few with the family and friends that read this though.

I am thankful for:

1.My Husband, He is so good to me and the kids and would do anything to support us, emotionally, physically, and financially. I can't believe that it has been eight years! I love you!
2. My healthy, beautiful children. You are the greatest blessings in my life, each of you have taught me and continue to teach me through example how to be a better person, and how to have unshakable faith in the lord. I Love you, Kobe, Cooper, Joseph Carter and Chloe.
3. My parents, I don't know how I can possibly put it into words how thankful I am for you. But most of all I am thankful for you willingness to serve, because of you me and my family have been truly blessed and watched over. I love you both.
4. My siblings, each of you have always been so good to me. Thank you for always making me part of your lives and making sure that I am taken care of and most of all thank you for loving my husband and children so unconditionally like ALL of you do! being that baby is the very best!
5. My friends who have become my family, The past five and half years have been a trial and you have made it all worth it. Thank you for your willingness to help and your love for the Felde clan!

I think that I could keep going but I will just stick with my top 5. I love you all!

Kobe's Birthday Party

I just realized that I got the pictures up about Kobe's birthday but I really didn't say too much about it!
Okay, so first off can you believe that he is 7?
Where did the time go?
For Kobe's birthday party we had a good time with friends! The theme was dinosaurs (are you surprised)
Kobe got so spoiled by our friends, they are all the best!
he had a great time, and so did we! Thanks to all that came, and thank you so much for all the wonderful gifts, he really loves them all!

He can no longer dress himself!

Let me start off by saying, If I only knew. Every Sunday Jeff wears the same,
yes the same clothes to church because he believes that because he is doing
this the Packers are winning. I know he does sound like a nut, like I said if I
only knew! So I thought uh, I will wear my green dress to show him a little
support and to tease him too. So to tease me back and to see if I really pay
attention to him this is how he got dressed this past Sunday! He came past
the bathroom and said time to go, and luckily in the corner of my eye I
caught this crazy get up! Oh the things we put up with for love!

See even Chloe thinks that her daddy is crazy!

Bad habit, already?

After the church party we took the kids to Sonic and to keep Chloe from throwing a royal fit because she didn't get a drink, Jeff got her a Sprite and you would think it was as if we had never given her a drink of any type of liquid in her whole life!

Daddy and his kids!
